Rotary launches new wheel service range

Workshop Equipment

Rotary Lift, the world’s largest vehicle hoist manufacturer, has launched an exciting new range of wheel service machines through its sole New Zealand distributor, Precision Equipment.
Aimed at specialist tyre outlets and discerning mechanical workshops across the country, this premium range features several wheel service models. The range includes three types of tyre changers, a wheel balancer and a sensor head wheel aligner, all made in Rotary’s Italian manufacturing plant.
With vehicle wheel sizes continually increasing in diameter in recent years, Rotary’s model R1180 leads the tyre changer line-up. This leverless machine can handle up to 30-inch rims and features a three-phase motor with automatic speed adjustment. Wheels are held in place through a central locking device with centering cones, and a pneumatic vertical bead breaker with double roller system. This eliminates the risk of damaging expensive rims. A wheel lifter is standard equipment, helps reduce any potential back strain when lifting heavy wheels.
Two traditional table top tyre changers also feature. A 24-inch capable machine, model no R641, has a two-speed three-phase motor, and the R441 model, which is 22 inch capable, has a 230V single phase motor. Both tyre changers have an air blaster tank with tubeless inflation providing air to the table, plus helper arms for handling difficult low-profile tyres are also included.
Rotary’s wheel balancer R355 model, is a 230V single phase easy-to-operate and intuitive balancer. It automatically calculates the width measurement by sonar for wheels up to 30 inches in diameter and the balancing program is automatically selected. The tyre’s eccentricity (roundness) is also measured by sonar during the spin cycle. Popular car and 4WD cones are included.
The range is completed with an eight-toe CCD wheel aligner. Rotary’s model R1060 features Bluetooth communication among the two front and two rear sensor heads to the control unit. Adjustments are guided through the computer software’s 3D images with the extensive vehicle specification database. Two pairs of three-point wheel clamps adjust from 10 inch to 24-inch wheels.
Precision Equipment New Zealand is a part of the Bapcor New Zealand group of companies, and is a leading provider of aftermarket parts and accessories to the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors, is proud to represent Rotary hoists and wheel service equipment.
Business manager William Singleton says this new range complements Bapcor NZ’s own house brand of Summit hoists, tyre changers, wheel balancers and wheel aligners, which are now readily available from their Mt. Wellington warehouse in Auckland.
