Mercedes-Benz Trucks has been awarded the prestigious “Readers Choice for Best Commercial Vehicles and Brands 2014” by truck professionals in Germany, outclassing 180 competitor models across all transport segments to win the coveted title.
In its 18th year, 7,403 readers from well-known magazines Lastauto, Omnibus, Trans Aktuell and Fernfahrer gave their judgement on all manufacturers in 22 categories, and took into account both technical, performance and brand-related factors.
The top models in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio, the Actros and Atego, both won individual category awards for Long Distance and Medium-Duty categories respectively.

The most impressive result was Mercedes-Benz as the overall winner for Truck & Trailer Services with its Service Contracts brand, CharterWay, winning the Rent category.
