Automechanika Frankfurt 2024

Workshop Equipment

Automechanika is the largest automotive technology show in the world, it is held bi-annually in Frankfurt. This year there were over 4,200 exhibitors from 170 countries at the five-day expo. We will spread our coverage over the next two issues, with this issue covering some of the workshop equipment highlights and trends we saw plus a page showing some of the countries that took large exhibition spaces – many we would not even connect to an auto industry, next month we will focus on parts and some of the cars we saw.

In terms of equipment, each time we attend there seem to be a few new lines of equipment that have reached mature status with multiple exhibitors showing their take on them. This year was no exception, with a plethora of DPF cleaning equipment on display, EV repair equipment including battery lifters, wheel repair equipment and injector removal tools were others that we saw a lot of featured around the halls. As always with stories on events like this we feel the pictures tell the story so here are some that stood out.
