Automechanika Frankfurt 2024

Automechanika Frankfurt 2024

Ed Speak

Our next issue will feature content from the Biannual Automechanika show, which is being held in Frankfurt, September 10th to 14th.  We will literally be live from the show as we will be attending the show on the deadline day for the next issue.

Motor Equipment News has attended Automechanika numerous times over the years, but this will be our first post Covid visit.

The show is massive by any standard. We normally spend three full days attending and if you are dedicate,d and keep walking most of each day, you can just get around it all allowing some time to take photos and chat to some exhibitors. It covers multiple halls, some with as many as four floors, with each floor being larger than the entire Auckland Showgrounds. By way of comparison Auckland Showgrounds Pavilions 1 – 4 cover a 10,638 Sqm area, Melbourne Exhibition Centre (MECC), that hosts the AAAE Expo boasts 40,000 Sqm, while Frankfurt Messe which hosts Automechanika has a massive 400,000 Sqm (Plus a casual 60,000 Sqm of outdoor display space).

Hydration and comfortable shoes are definitely at a premium!

This year’s event will see exhibitors attend from over 175 countries, covering the full range of automotive parts, accessories and workshop equipment. It is an opportunity to see up close some of the latest industry developments and offers a number of specialised areas such as Workshop for the future, Innovation4Mobility, Sustainability and New/Future Mobility.

We will be posting updates from the show on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/motorequipmentnews so follow us now to see what is new or interesting.
