IVECO Trucks Australia lined up once again at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show (BTS) at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. BTS from 16 - 19 May.
Pride of place was the flagship of the IVECO fleet—the Powerstar 7800. This vehicle is a heavy duty powerhouse which can haul the biggest loads, with a 140 tonne Gross Combination Mass (GCM). The 7800 has been developed in Australia to withstand the country’s harsh climatic extremes and physical road conditions. According to , IVECO Trucks the new Powerstar 7800 Roadtrain is aproduct that blends an American driveline and European comfort into an Australian made truck.
At BTS, IVECO donated a fourth Daily van to the Trans-Help Foundation, the national organisation that assists and supports transport employees and their families who are in crisis, suffering from hardship, health issues or trauma. The Daily vans are converted into mobile health and support units (MHSU) relocatable health consulting suites – that are moved around the country visiting truck stops and transport changeover bays.
The iconic ACCO was also onthe IVECO stand with a Hanson Cement concrete agitator on its back, demonstrating the versatility of the truck’s design. Alongside the ACCO was a Powerstar 6400, a workhorse designed for the construction, mining, quarrying and medium-haul transport markets. Designed, engineered and built in Dandenong, Victoria, the 6400 offers a choice of wheelbase and cab configurations that allows customers to mount a wide variety of equipment, including the latest side- and end-opening tipper bodies.
IVECO also displayed the latest model Stralis. Already renowned for its fuel efficiency and ability to meet the demands of driver convenience and comfort, the latest Stralis is one of the most versatile trucks produced by IVECO. Offering maximum flexibility and versatility, the Stralis has a variety of applications including single trailer, prime mover, tanker, car transport and refrigerated transport.
