Monroe GT Sport, the Australian-made short body shock absorber has met the exacting requirements of Australian high performance tuning workshop Herrod Motorsport.
Headed by tuner Rob Herrod, this Melbourne based company has been engineering and developing high-performance cars for more than 37 years. Specialising in Ford models, it further improves many of the highest-performance models released by Ford and Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) each year.
In seeking to enhance the FG G6E Turbo model, Herrod was seeking a premium short body shock absorber to both improve the car’s handling and to ensure low-slung good looks without having any adverse effect on the car’s driveability. Herrod says he found the answer in Monroe GT Sport shock absorbers, twinned with his own specification King Springs.
“I couldn’t believe how perfect the Monroe GT Sport shock absorbers were for this model. The handling has improved and the ride is also excellent,” says Rob Herrod. “We know this because we use several of the world’s premium quality and most expensive shock absorbers in this line of work.
“Customers trust us to enhance their cars while ensuring total reliability. I have no hesitation in recommending Monroe GT Sport, as this is a product that does the job well. We will be fitting them to every Ford FG Falcon that a customer is seeking to gain the best lowered good looks along with optimum handling,” he says.
Key features of the Monroe GT Sport product include sports performance tuning and design, increased compression travel, superior damping control with minimal suspension hardness, specifically designed compression bumper rubbers and improved suspension reaction time resulting in precise damping control.
