East Tamaki went Car Crazy for one February evening when Barry Meguiar and the Car Crazy TV crew rolled into town.
Car Crazy is a popular US show about car hobbyists and their vehicles which fronted by Barry Meguiar, the president of Meguiars. He was bought down to New Zealand by Venture Taranaki to film at the Americarna show in New Plymouth.
Darlene and Lindsay Smits from Meguiars NZ hosted the Car Crazy show and shine evening which took over a large section of Greenmount Drive outside theirs and the neighbour’s premises.
Hundreds of modified cars attended with American vehicles in the majority but a sprinkling of British, Australian Japanese and German examples as well.
The Car Crazy crew filmed a number of interviews and a got a great group shot of the crowd going Car Crazy for the cameras.
