FRAM Oil Filters – your engine’s guardian

Servicing

While the engine might be the heart of your car, the oil filter is its lifeblood. Often overlooked in routine maintenance, it plays a crucial role in ensuring your vehicle’s longevity and performance. Let’s delve into the importance of car oil filters and why they deserve our attention.

An essential part of your vehicle’s health and performance. An oil filter removes contaminants from the engine oil in your car. These contaminants can include dirt, metal particles, and other debris that can cause wear and tear on the engine’s internal components.

Improves engine performance: Clean oil can enhance your engine’s efficiency and power output.

Extends engine life: regular oil filter replacements can significantly extend the lifespan of your engine.

Fast fact: Beware of cheap filters. Some filters clog in as little as 4,000 kms. Avoid expensive engine repairs and turn to FRAM.

FRAM oil filters range of spin-on canister and cartridge metal-free oil filters offer protection for all vehicle applications.

Trapping abrasive dirt particles carried in the oil our range of encased steel cans that are powder coated to protect against corrosion and include full flow and bypass oil filters.

Eco friendly and designed for modern engines in a cartridge metal-free system, the filter housing is built into the engine and the filter element is fitted to the filter housing.

So, let’s look at the difference between an old oil filter and a new one!

FRAm oil filters are ideal for drivers who push their vehicles, whether in stop and go traffic, by towing, or driving in extreme weather conditions. A blend of cellulose and synthetic microscopic fibers, providing an ideal balance of dirt-trapping and dirt-holding capacity, whilst providing optimum oil flow to the engine for lubrication of moving engine parts.

FRAM oil filters continuously purify the oil in the vehicle, by filtering out and retaining abrasive particles, dust and combustion residue and are manufactured for use with conventional or synthetic oil.

FRAM oil filter testing is a rigorous process. For starters, we use multi pass efficiency testing as per the Society of Automotive Engineers SAE HS806 standard. The efficiency is determined in this test method is an “instantaneous” efficiency, because the number of particles before and after the filter are counted at the same instant.  These numbers are then compared to generate an efficiency measurement.

Fast fact: If your vehicle is misfiring or running “rough” it may be time to replace your fuel filter. Blocked or clogged fuel filter limit fuel flow.
