Autorama 2023

Autorama 2023

News

The inaugural Autorama 2023 team  put on a great show, Motor Equipment News attended the Friday trade day, which also included the unveiling of the eleven new show vehicles.

There was a good range of vehicles covering a full span of vehicle genres including hot rods, street rods, classic cars, race machinery, 4WDs and more.

A few highlights for us were the historic Forest Lake stockcars (Could be because we went to quite a few meetings there in the 70’s and 80’s so a bit of nostalgia), Martin & Marion Bennett’s Uncertain “T” Tribute which we covered during its USA trip in 2020 and a Ford Anglia V8  (347 SB Ford powered) – have always loved the big engine – small car mix!

There was good support from trade exhibitors including businesses such as sponsors Machinery House and DTM Wheels and Tyres, NAPA, Treadway Equipped and car builders such as Custom Street Rides and Rods by Reid amongst others.

Rick Love, Ex SEMA ambassador, did the unveilings and then hosted an interesting discussion amongst Trade VIPs on challenges the specialty car industry faces – and some of the opportunities.

Shows like this are all about the cars though, so we will let the photos tell the story.
