The award-winning battery brand Delkor by Clarios is well-regarded for its quality and reliability. Delkor has been awarded the prestigious Korean Standard-Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) award for 16 consecutive years from 2006 to 2021, which measures product quality and customer satisfaction. The manufacturing process of Delkor batteries consists of strict adherence to global product and process standards, from the production of raw materials all the way to the final shipments. Clario’s commitment to offering the latest in battery technology is evident in its range of Delkor automotive batteries. Delkor AGM and EFB batteries are designed specifically to meet the evolving power requirements of modern-day vehicles.

Delkor Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries are ideal for high-end and advanced fuel-efficient vehicles with high electrical demands, such as those with start-stop technology and regenerative braking. These vehicles start approximately 16,000 times more per annum (based on average CBD travel of 15,000 km) than an average car and require a battery that is capable of handling frequent cycling. Delkor Batteries’ patented PowerFrame grid technology provides superior and consistent starting performance with up to 70 percent better electrical flow than other grid technologies in the market.

Delkor Enhanced Flooded Batteries (EFB) are suitable for applications that operate at a partial state of charge, such as those fitted with Idle Stop Start (ISS) technology. These applications don’t require the deep-cycling capabilities of AGM batteries. A polyfleece scrim material added to the positive plate surface makes this possible. This helps to stabilise the active material of the plates, which increases the endurance. Vehicles fitted with ISS technology require a battery which can support the repeated demand for engine cranking power. Delkor EFB batteries also benefit from PowerFrame grid technology, which delivers increased dynamic charge acceptance – critical for the regenerative braking systems used in ISS vehicles. Similar to AGM batteries, EFB batteries are also built to resist corrosion, which is the number one cause of car battery failure.

The award-winning range of Delkor AGM and EFB batteries is available exclusively at R&J Batteries.
