Brembo and BNT – brake experts

Parts

BNT is the sole official Brembo agent in New Zealand and their focus is on the replacement market, where Brembo rotors will be equal to, or in many cases better than, the original OEM parts.

It is all very well claiming to be an expert, but Brembo backs and supports that by offering BNT their Brembo Expert Program. The Brembo Expert program is professional product knowledge training conducted by Brembo, which helps make the BNT network truly stand out from the rest of the market.

Together Brembo and BNT ensure experienced staff members in stores have the most in depth knowledge of brake systems as a whole, to provide professional support to the trade customer.

Brembo and BNT have a long-standing relationship, Jeremy Shao the Aftermarket Manager – Australia and New Zealand for Brembo S.p.A (Australia) commented “BNT is one of our oldest Aftermarket partners in the world having been a partner since 1990”.

BNT’s brake expertise goes back even further than just its association with Brembo – and today they have over 60 branches nationwide. Whilst the product range has diversified, the network retains a strong specialisation in brake parts and braking systems.

BNT has the most comprehensive Brembo rotor offer – go to the experts!

Who is Brembo

Brembo is an iconic international brake brand and one of the few independent brake manufacturers – they specialise in only brake systems, the business started in Bergamo, Italy in 1961 and now operates in 15 countries with 26 manufacturing sites.

When you first think of Brembo you will visualise the iconic red disc calipers fitted on various high-performance vehicles, but the core of their business is the supply of OEM braking equipment for a large number of new vehicle manufacturers. Sometimes these are Brembo branded and other times vehicle manufacturer branded. For instance, Brembo have seven-year contracts to supply both Mercedes and BMW with all their brake componentry and also supply many other leading manufacturers such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Kia with brake systems or discs. They are also leaders in designing brakes for EV vehicles supplying Tesla amongst others. Brembo is the outright world

leader in the production of brake discs, calipers and complete OE braking systems.

Other parts of the business include motorbike brakes, racing and performance (Including ownership of the AP and AP Racing brands) and aftermarket. In the racing area 10 of the 12 current F1 teams use Brembo with only one – Ferrari sponsored and 12 of 14 Moto GP teams also use Brembo.
