Subaru’s forthcoming BRZ sports car will have a range of Subaru Tecnica International performance parts and accessories with which owners can personalise their car.
And for those who want to go all the way, Pukekohe based Possum Bourne Motorsport can turn the BRZ into a track day special or make it suitable for other forms of competition use with a variety of packages.
STI parts to personalise road going BRZs includes a front bib spoiler; side skirts; boot lip spoiler; front suspension tower bar; alloy wheels; uprated springs and dampers; quick shift gear lever with an STI knob; sports muffler; push start switch; rear under body diffuser and instrument panel trim.
STI is Subaru’s performance arm and is respected worldwide by car enthusiasts for its high quality range, all tested to the same rigorous quality control standards as Subaru’s vehicle range.   
BRZ owners wishing to take part in a variety of motorsport competition can upgrade their car with several different options available from Possum Bourne Motorsport.
PBMS have a huge list of options for the motorsport BRZ and customers can pick components to suit their purposes. There are three track-ready packages.
The entry-level package includes roll cage kit, including installation; Recaro motorsport seats; Sabelt six-point harness; fuel system modifications, including lines and connectors; Carbon fibre lightweight parts, including door panels.
The upscale package, displayed at AIMS, adds driveline and suspension modifications, including Cusco height and damper adjustable coil over suspension; a brake package, including AP front and rear rotors and calipers and STI handbrake; electrical kit, including wiring, circuit breakers and lightweight battery; Recaro winged-HANS seats; Enkei 18 x 8.0 lightweight wheels and Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R motorsport tyres.
A third option of a complete performance parts package, including engine and gearbox enhancements, priced to suit individual requirements is also available. PBMS can also completely strip the car and offer a painting/colour change service too.   
The first shipment of BRZs arriving in New Zealand have all been pre-sold, but further supplies of the two litre boxer engine coupe will arrive here early in 2013, priced from $48,990 for the six speed manual and $49,990 for automatic.
