We spent the first day at Automechanika looking at the equipment area, lots of interesting items - this Pitstop robot refueling system caught our eye in the service station and car wash area

It uses an RFIDchip on the car to identify the model type and indiactes where the vehicle should stop, a camera system then identifies the filler location, after refuelling the camera rechecks to allowing for any settling with the weight of fuel on board. It can handle over 90% of vehicles with the exceptions being cars with twin fillers or unusual filller locations.
