The Alfa Romeo 4C has been named the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2013” at the 29th International Automobile Festival. The compact super car was elected in a worldwide Internet survey conducted with the collaboration of multimedia partners of the event, Le Point, Auto Addict, Automobiles Classiques, AD and JC Decaux.
It was a clear victory, with 40.70 percent of the votes which distanced by far the other finalists ‐ BMW series 4 (25.55 percent), Mercedes CLA (22.15 percent) and Mazda 3 (11.60 percent).
The prestigious award follows those won in the past by the Alfa 164 in 1988, the coupé Alfa Brera in 2005 and the Alfa MiTo in 2008, and rewards the model designed by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, and inspired in particular by the iconic 1967 33 Stradale.
Created in 1986 in Chamonix and presided by Remi Depoix, the International Automobile
Festival has become a key event on the world automotive calendar. A commendation of
creativity in automotive design, the festival has been naming the Most Beautiful Car of the
Year, an award which is especially appreciated by manufacturers, since 1988.
The award ceremony was staged yesterday at the Hotel National des Invalides in Paris during a gala event attended by many personalities from the world of the automotive industry, car racing, the media and the arts.
The 4C Supercar will look to arrive in New Zealand late in the second quarter of this year, in limited numbers due to its exclusivity, and pricing will be released closer to its launch.
