Andrea Andrew is a WoF Consultantand supplier of WoF test equipment, WoF refresher training courses, on-site competency assessments, and QMS management services.
Since 2002, Andrea has worked as a WoF consultant and witnessed many changes in the industry. She has kept up with these changes to ensure her clients benefit from her experience and up-to-date knowledge of all things WoF related.
Her services are available throughout New Zealand – you may have seen this reflected in the locations of her refresher training courses.
It’s essential to stay current with WoF VI training. You’ve likely read about the negative impacts of letting inspection standards slip. She has helped many inspectors improve their WoF test procedures, offering both one-on-one competency assessments in independent workshops and face-to-face group training.
Some of the additional services she offers are QMS training – whether it is for a new IO or for the person responsible who needs some support or training on the current NZTA requirements.  She can also provide a quick QMS compliance check to ensure your system is up to date.
She can carry out VI competency assessments during an inspector’s 90-day trial period, giving you valuable insight into their performance beyond what’s written on a CV. This helps you make informed decisions about retaining staff.
The system she uses is unique. When NZTA reviews your QMS, they’ll see that you’ve used expert guidance. She has developed a simple, easy-to-understand QMS format that meets compliance requirements.
She also offers ongoing support to clients – whether it’s VIRM-related questions, QMS advice, or general WoF queries.
In addition, she can supply high-quality WoF test equipment, including:
• Wheel stands for the loaded steering test.
• Ball joint test pry bars.
• Brake pedal depressors.
• Tint cards.
Using quality WoF test equipment ensures a thorough inspection of all components. The wheel stands she imports are specifically designed for the motor industry and come with a lifetime replacement guarantee. Made from lightweight, high-density polycarbonate, they won’t scratch painted floors and are easy to store off the ground – reducing trip hazards.
Hiring a consultant might seem like an added expense in today’s cost-of-living environment, but the cost of a suspended VI or IO authority is far higher. Contracting Andrea helps ensure you’re doing the best you can to improve your standards and stay compliant.
Working with her means you’re not just staying compliant now, but also setting up your WoF authority for long-term compliance. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your WoF processes and QMS are handled by an expert, so you can focus on growing your business and serving your clients. Don’t wait for issues to arise – be proactive not reactive.
Ask yourself:
• Have I completed my VI and IO performance assessment in the past year?
• Would I feel confident if NZTA conducted an unannounced visit today?
• Do I have the right WoF test equipment for the inspection.
If the answer is uncertain, call 021-2777-228 or email andrea@wofconsultant.co.nz today.
