Terrain Tamer has partnered with Harrop and Eaton to create the Terrain Tamer differential locker kit, complete with both the ELocker unit and all bearings and gaskets required for fitment.
The patented four-pinion electronic systems are made in Australia, and operate manually using an electromagnet powered by the vehicle’s battery, superseding compressor technology, and leaving the driver in full control to lock or unlock the differentials when necessary with an easy push button activation.
When locked, the ELocker performs as a full locker, capturing 100 percent of available torque and sending it equally to both ends of the axle, maximising the available traction, providing greater vehicle control when approaching potentially dangerous obstacles such as hill climbs.
The ELocker has been designed using precision forged American gears from Eaton. With a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, these gears are specifically intended for heavy duty application and provide improved strength and durability over standard cut gears. Previously available for use in American vehicles only, the ELocker units utilise these gears to expand application to popular Japanese vehicles available in Australia.
The Terrain Tamer diff locker kit conveniently combines the ELocker with all bearings and gaskets required for fitment. Often costly or difficult to find as a complete set, Terrain Tamer combines all components into a vehicle specific kit, utilising Japanese made parts to ensure the highest quality, and enabling fitment without added wait time.

Operating in such a way that both axles remain independent, the ELocker is easily fitted using a simple drop in fitting process.
The units use no replaceable parts such as O-Rings, so require less maintenance and the electromagnetic locking mechanism eliminates the complication and cost involved in running a compressor and the related air-lines. Instead, the ELocker connects to the differential using two wires with dust and waterproof plugs, providing simplicity and ease of repair in the event of damage.
