Terrain Tamer 4WD brakes

Parts

After several years of development, 4WD parts brand Terrain Tamer is pleased to introduce its new 4WD brake range, consisting of branded OE replacement brake pads and rotors, as well as the recently added high performance disc rotors.

Similar to the OE replacement rotors, the heavy duty range features the same cross-ground finish to eliminate run-out and taper; however the new range improves on the existing design with a drilled and slotted non-directional pattern, allowing them to be fitted to either side of the vehicle, and equipping them for more severe conditions.

These inbuilt holes act to clear gas and dust to prevent glazing and noise, as well as increasing cooling capacity and effectively reducing hot spots and brake fade for vehicles used in excessive heat or other harsh conditions.

Recognising the importance of offering a full brake package, the new Terrain Tamer brake pads have been developed to compliment this disc rotor range.

Developed in conjunction with an OE manufacturer, Terrain Tamer’s brake pads have been given the “E” rating, indicating that they have been made to European standards, specifically to suit Australia’s extreme 4WD environment. These heat resistant pads are made from a semi-metallic material composition, which further aids in brake fade resistance and provides a smooth performance, quiet operation, and a longer wear life.

When paired together, Terrain Tamer’s heavy duty disc rotors and OE replacement brake pads provide a high performance, heavy duty braking solution, designed specifically to tackle even the most unforgiving 4WD conditions of the Australian outback.
