Power Probe Maestro circuit tester

Power Probe Maestro circuit tester

Other

The Power Probe Maestro is newest Power Probe circuit tester is also the most powerful of them all. Of course, like all the Power Probes, the Maestro can apply circuit breaker protected power or ground to actively test components and circuits, but the Maestro has more test modes and abilities than any other Power Probe giving the Maestro the ability to diagnosis any circuit problem. Let’s look a little closer.

Multimeter modes
First, the Power Probe Maestro has almost every electrical test function found in any good multimeter:
•    DC Volts.
•    AC Volts (RMS).
•    AC Volts (PtoP).
•    Ohms.
•    Hz/PW/Duty%.
This means there is no need to bring out other test equipment as the Maestro has the all-in-one capabilities to test any aspect of any power or sensor circuit. Check voltages, measure frequency, check resistance in live circuits, all the while referencing your readings to the battery that the Maestro is connected to while looking for voltage drops or losses. This gives technicians a huge testing advantage over traditional test equipment.

Fuel injector mode
The Maestro also has a dedicated Fuel Injector mode that quickly provides a complete analysis of the injector circuit operation – one quick back-probe into the injector circuit and the Maestro will respond with blinking “Noid” light action from the red/green LEDs with a matching tone from the speaker indicating every time the injector fires. On the Maestro display it will give you four readings at once:
•    Voltage to the injector.
•    Ground from the ECM.
•    Inductive kick voltage.
•    Injector On-Time in mS.
With all the circuit information on one screen you can quickly test the entire vehicle’s fuel injector system and locate problem areas.

EZ learning and guided diagnostics
If your unsure of how to do a particular test, the Maestro itself may be able to help. It has built-in EZ Learning which explains the functions of the tool itself – kind of like a built in user manual. Plus, it also has guided diagnostics which can take you step-by-step through some basic vehicle electrical checks.

Trace mode
This is probably the most exciting and useful new function in the Power Probe Maestro. In most of the multimeter modes the user has the option of displaying the measured data (Volts, Ohms, etc.) in just numbers like normal or the display can be switched to “Trace Mode” where the Maestro will show a trace or waveform of the signal being tested. Almost like a small lab-scope built right into your Power Probe, this function is very useful especially for advanced tests on pulsed circuits where signal quality is important.

Maestro app
In addition to all the above, the Power Probe Maestro is a Bluetooth capable tool.  Download and install the Maestro App and simply pair the Maestro tool to the app. You can now mirror all the tool’s readings and waveforms onto the app on any Android or Apple tablet or phone. You can also perform screenshots or recordings over time that can be stored and played back later for analysis.
The Power Probe Maestro is by far the smartest, most capable Power Probe circuit tester. So if you want fix more electrical problems faster and efficiently, the Power Probe Maestro is the smart option.
