The saying might be “to get hit by a Mack truck”, but in the case of Narva’s recent International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show stand, the truck that “hit” show attendees, was a very well-lit Kenworth.

Narva used the life-size mural of the truck at the Melbourne show in May to great visual effect fitting a real bulbar to the front, together with a selection of Narva’s truck-related lighting products that all illuminated at the flick of a switch.

Included in the interactive display was a double pair of seven inch Narva Trucklite LED headlamps, Model 54 front facing indicators, bullbar-mounted Ultima 225 50W HID driving lamps with LED position light, and a double row LED bar.

Narva’s Victorian sales manager, Dave Nichols, said the striking display created a lot of interest among show-goers.

“Having a detailed mural such as this on the stand, complete with operational lighting is the next best thing to having a real vehicle on display,” Dave said.

“It provided a more realistic idea of how the products look and feel in-situ, especially with an actual polished alloy bullbar providing a three dimensional effect. It also helped us attract traffic to the stand.”

Along with the products featured on the mural, a wide range of additional Narva equipment was also on display, with an emphasis on lighting to meet the needs of commercial vehicle operators.

This lighting included a wide range of LED driving lamp bars, LED work lamps and several variants of the Ultima 225 range. Also on display was emergency LED stobe lighting, LED and conventional truck and trailer marker, licence plate and indicator lamps, along with LED truck and trailer lights.

According to Dave, increasingly transport operators are opting for LED lighting due to the many benefits of this technology.

“Lower current draw, improved light reliability and longevity as well as a brighter output has seen a real shift towards LED lights in recent years,” Dave said.

“We expect this trend to continue in the future and also predict continued advancements in LED lighting technology on the whole.”

Narva’s range of lighting can be purchased at all leading transport, automotive and four-wheel-drive outlets throughout New Zealand.
