Parts

The first NAPA Auto Parts branch was in New Plymouth and opened in June 2020 while the latest in Pukekohe opened in August this year, bringing the branch total to 20.

NAPA Auto Parts brings together the strength and expertise of Ashdown-Ingram, Appco Automotive Supplies, BIndon’s and Sulco under one roof. Bringing the best specialist trade businesses into a single-branch entity.

NAPA Pukekohe is located in the old Autostop Pukekohe building located at 150 Manukau Road, which has now received a bright NAPA refresh. This was the final branch to come under the NAPA masthead from the heritage businesses.

Further growth is happening in the South Island with NAPA Invercargill moving to bigger premises at 106 Yarrow Street, the doors opened at Yarrow Street on 29th August. They had already outgrown their original premises, just a month before their second birthday. The continued success of this branch has meant that bigger premises were needed to service the growing customer base and in response to customer needs.

The larger premises mean more stock is available on the shelves and more than 5,000 new stock items added across a number of product groups. You will find the same knowledgeable faces at the Yarrow Street address.

Tony Walker, GM Sales and Operations Napa Auto Parts NZ said, “We’re stoked to have completed the NAPA branch roll out in two years with Pukekohe now up and running, especially with all the disruption of the last two years. It has always been important to us to try give our customers the best offer available and continue to build on the great legacy businesses under NAPA so it was a no-brainer to expand NAPA Invercargill to a much larger more suitable site. We’re just getting started.”

This is just one investment into the NAPA brand alongside the recent GPC Distribution Centre opening which we covered in the September issue of Motor Equipment News.
