Mercedes-Benz Trucks has today unveiled plans to deliver a snow drive experience in Queenstown in mid-2015 as part of the brand’s newly formed driving academy.

The snow experience is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, and will allow guests to drive the entire Mercedes-Benz Trucks range throughout a series of ice, snow and 4X4 settings.

“We are very excited about the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Snow Experience. This is another example of us pushing the limits and like our customers, we are looking forward to descending on Queenstown for next year’s event,” said Justin Whitford, general manager, Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus.

“This will be another memorable Mercedes-Benz experience, and while being a bucket list item for a number of our customers, the event will allow us to further address the world-class ability and applications of our range.”

The driving academy and snow experience will be managed by chief driving instructor Peter Hackett, in association with Andrew Assimo, senior product and technical manager, Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

Further information will be available on this initiative later this year.
