Iveco facility sets new benchmark for NZ

Diesel Industry News

Iveco New Zealand’s all-new servicing facility is now open for business and ready to handle all service and parts needs for the full Iveco range of vans, trucks and minibuses, along with other brand products.

Based in Wiri, near Auckland Airport, the expansive workshop is the only authorised Iveco service outlet in the region, and forms part of a multi million-dollar head office, sales, service and parts development designed to handle the complete transport and logistics requirements of Iveco owners across Auckland and beyond.

The new facility offers 10 service bays and is overseen by a team of professional, factory-trained and supported technicians with access to all the latest Iveco and generic vehicle diagnostic equipment.

Other features of the site include a 25,000kg ‘Sky-Lift’, three 7,000kg post hoists for light commercial vehicle work, four 8,500kg mobile vehicle hoists and a 5,000kg crane that services four drive-through lanes.

The workshop also benefits from BM brake testing equipment that facilitates both braking and suspension testing, four heavy commercial vehicle lubrication service points and two light commercial vehicle lubrication service points.

As part of Iveco’s commitment to customers and as a preventative maintenance strategy, the facility also provides oil analysis while a call out vehicle and afterhours support is on hand for customers in the unfortunate event of a vehicle breakdown.

The workshop is served by a large and well-stocked 1,400sq.m parts warehouse, meaning most parts are held in stock to help reduce vehicle downtime for customers; servicing hours are also generous and extend to six days a week.

For customers wishing to wait while their vehicle is seen to, the dealership features a café and multiple lounge areas as well, where owners can relax or catch-up on paperwork.

Iveco dealer principal – New Zealand, Jason Keddie, said the new service facility would go a long way in helping Iveco deliver the highest level of support for its customers.

“Iveco recognises the importance of the New Zealand market and we know that it’s not enough to simply provide our owners with high quality products – backing our vehicles correctly is equally as important,” Jason said.

“The new facility and broader dealership increases the professionalism and range of services that we’re able to offer our customers, and in the coming months we’ll be looking to further add to these.

“The size of the workshop and the equipment that we have means that all repair work can be carried out on site, while access to a comprehensive local parts holding provides faster vehicle turnaround for our owners.

“For customers in the broader Auckland area, this is the only authorised Iveco service facility and without a doubt the best workshop for your truck, van or bus to be maintained.”

As an introductory offer, until June 30, Iveco NZ is offering 10 percent off all parts and service jobs done mid-week at the Auckland premises.
