Vehicles

The Volkswagen Golf V was the most serviced car by New Zealand’s automotive aftermarket professionals in 2017.

For the first time, Autodata - a leading automotive technical information provider worldwide, has published an industry report that shares not only the top 10 most serviced cars in New Zealand, but also the top 10 most serviced light commercial vehicles (LCVs); motorcycles; hybrids; electric; petrol and diesel vehicles this year in the 20 countries (21 for motorcycles) with the highest usage of Autodata’s technical information.

The top five most accessed automotive technical information topics by workshops in New Zealand this year were Technical Specifications (vehicle identification, ignitions system, fuel system, etc.), Camshaft Drive System, Wiring Diagrams, Electrical Component Locations, and Engine Oil.

New Zealand has one of the most diverse car parcs in the world. Although the top 10 most serviced is dominated by German manufactured vehicles, 45 percent of the top 100 most serviced vehicles in New Zealand are Japanese motoring brands, including Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, and Toyota.
