Auckland-based Forza Works Ltd, a specialised service centre for Italian and other European prestige vehicles, has brought Andy Booth into the business as a partner.
“It’s immensely pleasing to see how Forza Works has grown since inception in 2009,” says Sandro Zanforlini who moved the business to larger premises on New North Road in 2012.
“However the company has grown to such a scale that I was spending too much time away from the workshop floor where my skills and passion are best utilised. So it was time to bring a partner into the business, someone with the right skills and the knowledge of these prestigious vehicles.
Andy Booth says he is excited by his new venture as a shareholder of Forza Works.
Booth, who currently races in the V8 SuperTourer series, has twice won the NZV8 championship, also has his own links with the Ferrari and Maserati marques. The Aucklander’s first job after leaving school in 1993 was as an apprentice Ferrari mechanic for Tim Bailey, the founder of Continental Car Services (CCS). Booth left that role to pursue his motor racing goals in Europe and, once back in New Zealand, spent four years as the Ferrari and Maserati division manager for CCS.
“Forza Works does all kinds of repair and service work including mechanical and electrical faults, complete engine and gearbox overhauling, restoration, performance upgrading and tuning. The company also offers a ‘flying doctor’ service for customers outside Auckland.”
