On Thursday, 16th April, R&J Batteries’ Christchurch branch came to life as they welcomed customers, families, and motorsport fans for a memorable Meet and Greet event with André Heimgartner. The morning event brought together people from across New Zealand for a relaxed and engaging catch up. With clear skies overhead, it became a standout day that struck the perfect balance between community, entertainment, and appreciation for our customers.
There was something for everyone on the day. Guests enjoyed a BBQ and fresh coffee while taking in a range of activities, including RC car races on the miniature Ruapuna Raceway, trade displays, and a Show and Shine that showcased some very impressive vehicles. The atmosphere stayed lively throughout, with families, customers, and kids all getting involved.
The major highlight was the appearance of André Heimgartner, who had strong support from all attendees. He took the time to meet fans, pose for photos, and sign caps and posters, helping create a genuine connection with everyone who came along.
The event was a strong success, not just in terms of turnout but also in overall energy for the day. It was a great opportunity for R&J Batteries’ Christchurch team and customers to connect face to face, strengthen relationships, and celebrate a shared passion for motorsport.
R&J Batteries would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making the day what it was. Events like this reflect what the R&J Batteries community is all about. The battery distributor also wishes Heimgartner and the #8 R&J Batteries Supra as they fly through the rest of the Supercars series this Championship.
